||Crowning a hilltop south of Newport,
this castle was the dominant defensive position on the Isle of Wight
for more than 600 years. With its keep, battlements and working
well house Carisbrooke Castle is an exciting site for the whole

||This last addition to Henry VIII's coastal
defences was completed in 1547. It houses exhibitions of paintings
of the Isle of Wight and photographs of old Yarmouth. The site also
provides a magnificent picnic spot, with views over the Solent
Hill Country Parks
||The Islands favourite country park with
something for everyone: The Islands biggest rides. Loads of children's
play areas and activities. Beautiful countryside and woodland. Opening
new in 2005 is our fantastic woodland centre telling the story of
our squirrels and other wildlife and plants of the woods. All this
plus the start of an innovative new woodland garden. Robin Hill
is the islands 'must visit' attraction.

Victoria Model Railway
||An orbit of 450 feet on the longest
of 8 routes, 25 computer controlled trains and 380+ buildings, this
is one of the UK's largest and most sophisticated model railways.
||Nestling in the gardens of the Old Vicarage
is this beautiful Model Village of Godshill and Shanklin Old Villages
as they were in yesteryear. The exquisite details include 1/10 scale
houses, many with real thatched roofs; miniature trees and gardens;
a Model Railway; an airship; a wind turbine and local characters
going about their business.
